Tern, in your browser
Write to other nodes through a Tern node of your own: one plugged into this computer, or one in Bluetooth's reach of it or of an Android phone. The page talks to the node and to nothing else: there is no account and no server, and what you write leaves this device only by the node's radio.
- The board needs Tern's firmware: put it on a Heltec V3 from this browser.
- Over Bluetooth, the node asks for a passkey the first time: it is on the node's screen. The node's
forgetcommand, over USB, makes every device pair again. - This is an alpha of a draft protocol. Its cryptography has not been reviewed: do not trust it with anything that matters.
- Conversations are also kept in this browser, since a node remembers only its latest messages.
- Sharing your position from here gives the node the browser's location only while this page is open: for sharing from a pocket, use a phone app.
A demo: there is no node, and every name and message here is made up.
